This field study assessed the effects of Bradyrhizobium inoculation on nodulation and vegetative growth of summer mungbean (Vigna radiata L.) cultivars at the Bangladesh Institute of Nuclear Agriculture (BINA), Mymensingh. The experiment used a split-plot design with three replications, two cultivars [Binamoog-5 (V₁) and Binamoog-7 (V₂)] as main-plot treatments, and six inoculation/nutrient treatments as subplots. The treatment combining inoculant, phosphorus, and potassium (I+PK) at Inoculant + P (25 kg ha-¹) + K (40 kg ha-¹) produced the highest overall nodule number at 40 DAS (20.17 mg plant-¹), while Inoculants+ Phosphorus@25 kg P ha-1 and Potassium@40 kg P ha-1+Cowdung@ 3 ton ha-1 (I+PK+CD) produced the highest overall nodule dry weight at 40 DAS (51.97 mg plant⁻¹) and plant height at harvest (98.74 cm). The I+PK+CD treatment also produced the highest overall shoot dry weight at harvest (17.07 g plant⁻¹). Binamoog-7 generally had greater shoot dry weight at 10 and 40 DAS and at harvest, whereas Binamoog-5 had a higher mean at 20 DAS.

Keywords: Mungbean; Bradyrhizobium; integrated nutrient management; nodulation; plant growth; shoot dry weight.
